William remained conscious and pain free. On examination upon admission some grazing to William’s Left anterior lower thoracic region (chest) was noted but no other injuries. Observations indicated the bodily trauma despite William not reporting pain but within acceptable limits (Temp 36.8, Pulse 90 beats/min, BP 140/90 mmhg, Oxygen saturation 98% on room air, Respirations 18 breaths/min).
The X-rays confirmed that the foreign body had not penetrated the bone:
