Identification and Evaluation of risk factors associated with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)
Opioids are natural or synthetic drugs on administration binds with opioid receptors on nerve cells in the body and reduce pain. Intake of these drugs provides positive augmentation that makes people take opioids in more quantity results in opioid use disorder which is a chronic condition. There are several factors associated with the rapid intake of opioid drugs. The addiction rate is varied according to different parameters related to the risk. For instance, various categorical people differentiated by demographical factors like age, gender, race, preexisting health conditions, psychiatric history, family history and socioeconomic factors.
For this, I will collect the dataset and synthesize it, perform statistical methods like regression analysis or clustering analysis to identify the risk level of opioid use disorder for chosen attributes. This is accomplished by using the R-statistical tool or python program. The visualization of the data is performed to summarize the data by plotting graphs and creating dashboards.
Conclusion: My proposed study provides the assessment of factors associated with the root cause of opioid use disorder (OUD). In general, to predict the addiction rate of opioid overdoses in different sets of people.
